In #memoir6, I shared that I studied Biochemistry before embarking on a career in Marketing. Full disclosure, before then, I was in Medical school for three years, including pre-Med (long story for another day šŸ˜Š).

My journey through Med school was didactic. Though a very restless phase, it revealed me to me. My creative juices bubbled and I started to write poems. I got involved in student politics; was elected Deputy Chairman of the Medilag Students Council, Member, Unilagā€™s Students Council, Treasurer, Federation of African Medical students; ā€˜kingmakerā€™šŸ˜Š.

All these as a reserved, shy 18-year-old, part 1 medical student. So well-known to be reserved that after I had first campaigned for office before my 200-strong classmates, one of the closest to me, my anatomy table partner asked me if I took ā€˜somethingā€™ before I went on stage!

Med school was a place of self-discovery. Looking back to connect the dots, God had a plan which didnā€™t seem to make sense then.

ā€œIndeed, He who watches over you will neither slumber nor sleepā€. (Psalm 121:4)

Trust Him with your journey.
